COMMUNITY SERVICE

After a childhood friend contracted and subsequently lost his battle with Leukemia, Alicia was inspired

to help other children who faced debilitating and life-threatening illnesses and has spent many hours at

the OU Children’s hospital comforting them as they await various treatments. She was deeply touched

as the children continually demonstrated extraordinary courage and determination in their struggles,

and how they faced each day with a positive, upbeat attitude. Alicia has spent thousands of volunteer

hours working with the Children’s Miracle Network, the Jerry Lewis Telethon, the Oklahoma Children’s

Cancer Association, the Ronald McDonald House, and the American Cancer Society just to name a few.

TELEVISION APPEARANCES

Locally, Alicia has appeared on Galen Culver’s Is This A Great State or What, a weekly television segment on Channel 4, NBC. She was also a featured guest on the Regis and Kelly Show, the Megan Mullally Show and the Ellen Degeneres Show. She also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance in Las Vegas. Additionally, she was invited on two separate occasions to be on Guinness TV shows in Rome, Italy and Beijing, China where she set and subsequently broke her own record for the most consecutive fouettes a la seconde’.
